1. What do I need to prepare when using docCentral?

You have to prepare a Word Document template, which is a Word document filled with placeholders using docCentral's Word Add-In.

You should also have an idea of what data source you would like to use to populate your documents. If you intend to use FormSG as your data source, you should have a completed FormSG form as well.

For more information on how to setup your project, please refer to this page.

2. Why didn't I receive my OTP (One-Time Password)?

The OTP usually takes some time to be sent as it gets cleared through the various security layers before it can reach your mailbox. As each OTP is valid for 10 minutes, you do not have to request for another OTP if you do not receive it immediately.

Do also check your Inbox (External) or Junk Mail for the OTP email as well, or consider using the WOG AD login method

3. Why am I getting a "Unable to Submit OTP. Please try again later." error?

When using GSIB laptops, you might encounter an issue like this, after entering your OTP.

This is an issue that is caused by the Menlo Security Protocol. You may solve this issue by refreshing the page, and you should be logged into docCentral. Otherwise, please request another OTP by clicking on the "Resend OTP" button.

4. What should I do if I get a "Unable to get OTP. Please contact us or try again later."

Users are only allowed to request for an OTP, once every 10 minutes.

This message will appear if you have made more than one request within this duration. OTPs may also take up to 10 minutes to be sent to users upon request, as it gets through the various layers of security. Please only request for another OTP if you have not received one within 10 minutes.

5. Why can't I continue to the next page when creating my project?

The 'Continue' button only gets enabled when the information required on each page has been provided. Each of the three pages in the project creation process have their respective requirements. For the data sources and output destinations pages, the 'Continue' button will only be enabled when the minimum requirements of all selected options have been fulfilled.

To find out what information is missing, hover over the disabled 'Continue' button to see a tooltip indicating the missing piece of information. You may also refer to the Project Summary page for what information is missing.

6. I can't publish my docCentral project! Why?

You may be unable to publish your project as you have not provided all the required information in your project. To find out what you're missing, simply hover over the disabled 'Publish Project' button, or refer to the Project Summary page.

7. I inserted my FormSG link, but I can't proceed to the next step in creating my project. What's wrong?

You have most likely inserted a FormSG link that is not shareable. The process to get your shareable FormSG link is found here.

8. I edited a Published project and saved it. However, now, I'm not getting any completed documents. Why?

When you edit a project that has already been Published, do note that you can either "Save and Unpublish" or "Save and Republish" the project. If you had selected the "Save and Unpublish" option, you will stop receiving completed documents. You can check which option you had selected when you saved your project, by referring to the project status on the dashboard or the Project Summary page of your project.

⚠️

Ensure that you have selected the "Save and Republish" option to continue receiving completed documents. This option can only be found in the Output Destinations page of the project creation process.

9. I can't upload my Microsoft Word template! Why?

Check that what you are uploading is not classified "confidential" and above. The security clearance level is checked by the GSIB every upload and will not accept uploading of confidential and higher documents.

10. I duplicated my Published project, but now I'm not receiving completed documents from the duplicated project. Why?

When you duplicate a Published project in docCentral, the project automatically gets unpublished. You will need to publish the duplicated project in the Output Destinations Page to start receiving documents.

11. I duplicated a completed project, but the duplicated copy is Incomplete. Why?

If you duplicate a project that becomes Incomplete, it is highly likely that your duplicated project used FormSG as a data source. Each FormSG form can only be used for one docCentral project. If you duplicate a project with FormSG as a data source, FormSG will remain selected as a data source, but the FormSG link and secret key will be automatically removed.

Therefore, you will have to add another FormSG link and secret key before you can complete the project and publish it.
